Tour the Gem Show

Gem Miner's Jubilee and Holiday Shows are a yearly exhibition and sale of some of the finest products & collectibles available to the connoisseur of Earth's treasures. We exhibit a larger show in August and a holiday gift show in November. Plus, we've just launched a new show in Howard County, Maryland starting in June, 2022.

Each year 70+ vendors from around the country and world converge on Lebanon, Pennsylvania for a fest of gems, minerals, fossils, beads, jewelry, arts and crafts. This is an opportunity to meet source dealers, those in the trenches, scouring the Earth to bring you the finest in natural treasures.

June 2024 Demonstrations

June 2024 Demonstrations

Gem Cutters Guild of Baltimore: (https://www.gemcuttersguild.com/) is an organization with the purpose of increasing awareness and appreciation of the lapidary arts and sharing the knowledge of lapidary sciences and jewelry fabrication with the local community. Check out demos and specimens at the show in June!

The Interstellar Collection: (https://www.theinterstellarcollection.comTake a trip to outer space and learn all about meteorites at Brett Cohen's booth The Interstellar collection! Brett is an enthusiastic expert on the subject, and he's coming to share his extensive scientific knowledge with you. Don't miss the chance to hold these space rocks, learn from Brett and hear the incredible stories behind his collection of rare and museum quality meteorite stones. After learning about these amazing stones, you can purchase your very own specimen to add to your collection as well.

Baltimore Bead Society The Baltimore Bead Society, founded over 30 years ago, is comprised of bead enthusiasts, creative artists and jewelry designers.  Members will be demonstrating skills and techniques at the Baltimore Bead Society Membership table.  Please stop by and see bead embroidery, chain maille, stringing and kumihimo, live and in person. Members will be available to discuss the latest trends in beading and the activities and meetings available. Meetings are held at the Howard County Center for the Arts in Ellicott City, on the second Tuesday of every month, except July and August, from 6:30pm-9pm.  Programs, classes and workshops provide an opportunity for learning new techniques in a supportive yet social environment.

The Reel Mine: James Hall will explain the operation of his amethyst mine and demonstrate the intricacies of its composition. The Reel mine is an old historical mine said to once be mined for gem amethyst by Tiffany & Co. although records have vanished to support that. We have put specimens in various museums, since buying the mine in 2016: The Smithsonian, The U OF AZ museum in Tucson. The Maine mineral museum in Bethel. There are several Amethyst mines on the east coast. Jackson cross roads mine in Ga. Diamond Hill in SC. US IN NC. and so on all the way to Maine. But the three of us are only ones active.  We have lots of videos and pics to share. Collecting tips, stories, etc.

No classes will be offered at the June 2024 event.

We hope to see you at our next show!
